MCAN's virtual Innovation Labs provide an opportunity for dialogue among school counselors and other college access professionals in meetings that highlight emerging strategies positively affecting the college-going culture in their communities. In this Innovation Lab, join Rebekah Ward, school counselor at Lincoln Middle School, as she discusses how her school used student input along with the American School Counselor Association model to identify and address needs for postsecondary college and career readiness. She will emphasize the importance of starting vertical alignment earlier for postsecondary programming. Rebekah will also share specifics about her work at the middle school level to create a “postsecondary-going culture.”
