Gateway Course Redesign Faculty Academy
Gateway Course Redesign Faculty Academy
MCAN, in collaboration with Almy Education and Sova, has created the Gateway Course Redesign Faculty Academy — an 18-month, faculty-driven initiative designed to support colleges and universities in rethinking and restructuring key gateway courses at scale. This work requires authentic faculty leadership and deep consideration of structures, curriculum, and pedagogy. Grounded in national research and best practices, this academy is built for faculty, by faculty — because sustainable change happens when those closest to the work lead the way.
Who is eligible?
Public, tribal, and independent colleges and universities are encouraged to participate. Institutions, with MCAN support, will develop a team of faculty, academic leaders, and student success professionals. Priority consideration for Faculty Academy enrollment will be given to institutions that participate in the Discovery Seminar.
What's included?
The Gateway Course Redesign Faculty Academy offers access to national experts and a cohort of like-minded educators, implementation coaching and assessment support. Participants will also receive stipends to honor their time and effort in redesigning these critical courses. For more details, please view our FAQ document.
